Test CLEP is a unique approach to learning that

type and click 'Log In'
- Click the link near the bottom of the page that reads 'Cancel
Subscription.'
- Confirm your cancellation on the next page and you're all set.

CLEP: College Level Examination Program
- What is CLEP? CLEP is a credit-by-examination program that allows anyone to
demonstrate college-level knowledge for a wide variety of undergraduate college courses.
After successful completion of a CLEP test college credits are awarded that are not only
transferrable, but also accepted at over 2,900 colleges and universities.
- Should I take a CLEP? Sure! Taking a CLEP test allows you to skip ahead and save
the time and money that would have been spent sitting in a classroom. With a fraction of the
time that a college class takes, CLEP tests are a great opportunity to gain college credits
and skip ahead to the classes that most interest you.
- Who takes CLEP tests? High school students, home-schooled students, working adults,
military service members, traditional college students, and anyone else that wants to get
their college degree faster and move on with their lives.
- Will my college accept CLEP?
More than 2,900 colleges and universities accept CLEP credits. Look at the CLEP
College Acceptance site for further information and to see if your school takes the credits.
- How much college credit can I get? Each college is different although many allow you to
get as many as 60 units through CLEP. Just check with your college of choice and ask a
counselor.
- How much is it to take a CLEP test? Currently it is $77 to take a CLEP test. The testing center also charges a nominal fee, usually about $15 to take a test.
- How do I sign up to take a CLEP test? It's easy, just go to the CLEP registration page.

- What should I bring to take the CLEP test? Bring two forms of ID and your exam fee. A credit card
is preferred for payment.

DSST/Dantes FAQ
Dantes/DSST: DANTES Subject Standardized Test
- What is DSST? DSST is similar to CLEP in that it allows test-takers to gain college
credit by examination. It originated as a military program for veterans and active-duty military
members to gain college credits. It's accepted at more than 1,900 colleges and universities.
- Should I take a DSST? You bet! DSST offers different test subjects than CLEP does
and the DSST tests can get you those much needed college credits fast. Although DSST tests are
not easy, many students comment that the DSST tests are easier than the CLEP tests.
- Who takes DSST tests? Anyone that wants to get college credit and get to that
coveted college degree. Military service members, veterans, current college students, working adults, and
high school students and home school students have gained valuable credits with DSST tests.
- Will my college accept DSST? Dantes tests are approved by the American Council on
Education and are accepted at over 1,900 colleges and universities nationwide. Take a look at the
Dantes College Acceptance page and see for yourself.
- How much college credit can I get? Many school that accept credit by examination allow
as many as 60 units to be awarded. Many of the DSST tests are upper-division tests and there are schools
that will award a college degree completely by testing out. Three accredited colleges that accept a great deal
of these types of credit are Thomas Edison State College, Excelsior College, and Charter Oak State College.
- How much is it to take a DSST test? It's just $80 to take a Dantes/DSST test and the
administering site usually charges around a $15 fee.
