Course Information and Overview
This CLEP Test consists of material typically taught in a full year introductory-level college course
and is worth 6 credits. The actual CLEP Test is
140 questions and allows 90 minutes to complete. In order to successfully
complete this CLEP exam you will need to have a solid understanding of facts
regarding authors, works, painting, etc..., understanding of techniques such
as medium, style, and scheme, the ability to identify characteristics of
certain writers and artists, and understanding and the ability to interpret
data from arts and writings.
Please note that most schools award 6 semester units for this test. It is one of the more difficult tests as it is so broad in nature. Questions on this test are taken from all of the history of the subject and draw from classical, medieval, and renaissance periods as well as the 17th century to today.
